Tibetan Goji finally available in France!

GojiThis year 2011 the Tibetan Goji is now available in Europe and therefore also in France (previously it was the Americans who take it all!). The best comes from the Tibetan plateau of Qinghai, with an average altitude of 4200 meters! The principle is simple: The greater the altitude the higher Goji grows, especially because of the difference in temperature between day and night and between summer and winter, the better it is!

The demand for Goji from Mongolia greatly exceeds supply capacity; Tibetan Goji has become a rare commodity. Even if Tibet is politically dependant on Chinese authorities, the fact remains that it has fundamentally different soils than the plains of Eastern China, where Goji is grown in mass at low altitude.

So the good news for good Goji lovers is that in addition to Goji from Mongolia (still available in small quanties in France), is that a certain amount of high altitude Tibetan Goji will help sustain high quality supplies through to the next harvest. It is prudent however to take advantage of supply provisions while they last….
