Professor of Psychology at Concordia University, Carsten Wrosh, focuses on the effects of negative emotions on health. He states that bitterness can cause health problems.
Bitter people tend to blame others (boss, spouse, family, etc..) For their failures and misfortunes, but ultimately, they may very well fall ill.

"Presumably it increases cortisol [stress hormone]. If the bitterness becomes chronic, it can cause biological disturbances and vulnerability to disease, "says the researcher who said that this feeling is often accompanied by anger and hostility.

The professor has studied the thoughts, mood and health of 300 couples for 3 years to reach this conclusion.
Apparently, 1-2% of the population suffers from chronic bitterness. To overcome this feeling, it is important to value perseverance and learning to let go. On the other hand, if we do not reach our goals despite our efforts, we must then try to set new ones.
